newbie of the week : fm belfast

our newbies this week, come from reykjavík, iceland. fm belfast a electro indie twee band, who have recently sent blogs all a chatter, with their cover of rage against the machine's, recent xmas number one track 'killing in the name'. electro beats, mixed with cute female vocals, make it hard to really pinpoint where fm belfast's sound really fits. but if you need some comparison, think the knife, jumbled up with css. anyway as always, have a listen and leave us you comments below.

monarchy single

the enigma that is monarchy have announced the release, of their new single at the beginning of next month. 'gold in fire' which spread across the blog-o-sphere like a rash (a really good rash though) at the end of last year will be released 1st feb, on 7" vinyl with 'black the colour of my heart' on the b-side. the vinyl will be available from neon gold. no news of the track being available on itunes yet tho.
