It’s been a while since i’ve posted a Lane 8 track and it would seem that things have taken off for the San Francisco based producer of some of the most chilled out beats I’ve heard in a long time. ‘Be Mine’ is his latest track and the first release on his new label Anjunadeep. Smooth beats, and chilled out melodies all centred around a vocal sample which in other hands would seem repetitive, but in Jake’s it just seems to work. Summer track right here
After rocking the Main Stage at a very sunny Loves Saves the Day festival in Bristol a couple of weekends ago, Bristol’s own The Other Tribe are back with a new single. ‘Your Kisses’ is a techno tinged track, which reverberates to a bouncing beat and a percussion with has echoes of a Caribbean lilt, all built up around James Hill’s punchy vocal. ‘Your Kisses’ is taken from the bands forthcoming ‘My Girl’ EP via Relentless Records.
This week we’ve got a new track from Glasgow’s Chvrches. ‘Gun’ is taken from the three pieces as yet un-named debut album which we expect will be released in the next few months. Continuing to take things in a sparkly anthemic pop direction which we heard in previous release ‘Recover’.
Frameworks is one man production outfit from Manchester who makes smooth groovy chilled out tracks which ooze cool. With a sound thats reminiscent of Belleruche (now there’s a blast from the past). RnB inspired beats combine with jazz trumpets and beautifully sassy female vocals. His first EP ‘Vanish’ is avaliable for free over at Bandcamp and his new EP ‘Old Friend’ is due for release June 3rd.
Woah there Disclosure !! The Brothers have come a long way since they first blimped up on our radar two years ago. Gearing up for the release of their debut album they’ve given us yet another glimpse into what to expect from ‘Settle’. The duo from Surrey played their new track ‘When A Fire Starts To Burn’ on Zane Lowe’s show. Featuring massives beats and retro 90′s-esque production which we’ve come to expect. ‘Settle’ is released June 3rd.
