Niki & The Dove, follows that age old pop tradition of artists featuring inanimate (or in this case animate) objects in their stage names a la Marina the Diamonds, Florence and the Machine and Simon & Garfunkel (lol). Hailing from sunny Stolkholm, Niki & The Dove create intelligent pop music which has gotten them a place on the much fabled BBC sound poll. The new single ‘DJ, Ease My Mind’ is the sort of track that features the soaring anthemic vocals framed by a pounding pop beat not unlike afore mentioned Florence and The Machine but in some respects much more accessible. It’s released 26th Febuary I expect to be hearing much more of this and its many remixes over the next few months.

New music from Bristol based Javeon McCarthy now. His second single ‘Lost Time’ a Bass driven electro pop track, which Javeon worked with production duo Craze and Hoax on. The duo previously worked on Emile Sande’s track ‘Heaven’. The single is released Febuary 27th and features a reworking by fellow Bristolians, Eats Everything.

Some rather good new remixes of The Rapture’s new single ‘Sail Away’ have just been unleashed online. The three remixes from Aeroplane, Cut Copy and Cosmic Kids, rework the single taken from the bands recent album ‘In The Grace of Your Love’ which was released back in September. enjoy.
