hey happy new year, hope ya had a good one :) i did ;D anyway i'm in recovery mode right now so heres a very lazy post of some of the artist who i think will be massive in 2009. 

la roux (itunes)

recently featured on the kitsune maison compilation 6, and featured on annie mac's myspace. la roux (which is french for the red haired one, according to her last.fm profile) looks set to lighting up the indie discos this year. 

frankmusik (itunes)

ok i know i've been banging on about frankmusik since the summer, but i love it. recently released his debut single 3 little words and is currently working on his debut album (which i've completely forgotten the name of lol), with stuart price and from what i've heard so far it sounds amazing.

friendly fires (itunes)

after spending much of 2008 bubbling under the mainstream radar, friendly fires are posed to step up into the mainstream, with plays on radio 1 and great reviews from their debut album.
