Jungle is Massive

Elliphant
Got some new sounds coming from Stockholm for you now. Don’t  really know much about Elliphant apart that she’s female, from Stockholm and that her debut single ‘In The Jungle’ sounds half way between a pop track fused with wailing synths and a heavy drum beat. The track has flashings of early M.I.A and did I mention it also features a guitar riff from Survivor’s slightly famous track ‘Eye of The Tiger’. Epic.

Get People : Macaw

Get People
New sounds now from London three piece Get People. ‘Macaw’ is a bassy indie pop track which bounces along helped by haunting vocals which echo they’re way throughout the track. The track marks a change of form to a much more full and rounded sound from their previous release ‘Rain Tears’. You can go grab the track from the bands website for free now.

Pelifics : Back to the 80′s

Pelifics
Time to liven things up abit around here with a slice of 80′s inspired electro, from Norwegian producer Pelifics and his new EP ‘Lifetime, Volume 1′. Like the soundtrack to a 1980′s teen movie with electric drum beats and beautifully restrained female vocals akin to the human league. The EP also features a collaboration with Electric Youth of the Drive soundtrack fame. It’s all out now on Brilliantine, download link is below.

From The Postbag : MMoths

MMoths
Digging deep into the postbag this time to pull out this new track from MMoths. ‘Heart’ feat. Keep Shelly Athens on vocals is a dark, brooding and pulsating track. Framed perfectly by Keep Shelly Athens’s beautiful vocal. It’s released March 5th on SQE Music check out the video below which was filmed in Ireland.

Stargazing Surf Pop …

Fixers
So you thought that sci-fi electro pop had died out the day the Klaxon’s released that god awful Grace cover. Well you were wrong, step forward Oxford based, five piece Fixers. Best described as a cross between surf pop and psychedelic stargazing electro, blended together perfectly with soaring twee pop vocals. Their new single ‘Iron Deer Dream’ is due for release March 11th with their debut album following on May 14th.
