so i've found myself in berlin, for the night ... was going put together a playlist, of some cool berlin based artists, but thats easier said than done :/ so thought now would be a good time to resurrect last.fm goodness, but this time use the tag berlin so here goes.

modeselektor - sucker pin

electro techno with some very heavy basslines ... a very german start.

bloc party - kreuzberg

listening to the lyrics to this one, it's kinda clear why it's been tagged with berlin ...

the folks - a march on the borderline

german rock band working too hard to sound american ... not much else to say about this one.

alaska in winter - berlin

beautiful distorted vocals, minimal electro beats with a techno vibe bubbling just under the surface. alaska in winter still sound as amazing as ever.

17 hippies - was bleibt

translated as 'what remains'. a haunting waltzing german folk song.

khs - anfassen

described as deutschrap, this tracks as a nice snyths mixed up with hip-hop style vocals.

panda - du kotzt ma an

germanys answer to the artic monkeys, if not just slightly more punky than indie.

a very short but sweet return of the last.fm goodness ... anyway i better be off, there's currywurst to eat.
