Jai Paul
Jai Paul is back with a follow up demo track to last April’s release ‘BTSTU‘. ‘Jasmine’ takes the downtemp R&B style we heard on ‘BTSTU’ and adds lashings of funk guitar, a hand clap beat and a wobbly bed, which harks back to the era of recording music off the radio onto cassettes. Imagine a cross between James Blake and Issac Hayes which the vocal style of Active Child and you’ll be half way to understanding how epic this is. All we can hope for now is some sort of album or EP is on the way. But judging by the space between these two tracks Jai Paul isn’t someone that likes to rush the music, which in all honesty is a breath of fresh air.
